Fall weather was favorable to a quick harvest. Most operators where able to complete both their soybean and corn harvest with little to no delay due to adverse conditions. That favorable weather pattern continued into late October and early November allowing for much field work and fall fertilization to advance. Widespread sizeable precipitation continues to be sparse.

The drought conditions are a large concern as we eye the start of the 2023 crop year. All of our trade territory southeast of Storm Lake is within some form of drought. Subsoil moisture in most of these areas are depleted meaning the 2023 crop will not have that luxury if additional precipitation is not received before spring planting. Without subsoil moisture reserves the crop with require timely rainfall throughout the growing season to expect good yield potential.
