Various soil borne and airborne diseases are affecting both corn and soybeans primarily due to wet conditions. Some varieties have a higher level of resistance to such diseases. Diseased fields will most likely require an early harvest.

Prices continue to move downward into harvest time. Basis is widening. Many will have to store unsold grain until next spring.
