-Light showers crossed the area with a few local areas reaching .8″… Helpful to the soybeans… Corn harvest is likely to begin before Sept 1 for heavily drought stressed fields. Soybeans will begin to turn color this week and begin maturing… Harvesting wet corn and drying it may be the best way to avoid ears dropping that have weak shanks or broken and weak stalks… Grain markets are expected to move up to higher levels perhaps approaching $9.00 to ration usage… Soybeans may need to go to $20 to ration usage…
