Rains have been very timely for soybeans and have sparked additional growth. Pod fill will be very good. Cor continues to fill kernels, and in most cases remains very healthy. Some airborne diseases still are present.

The USDA report released Tuesday the 12th was neutral for corn with modest yield increases expected at 167 bu/acre nationwide. A 45 bushel bean yield is expected. If this bean yield is realized it will set a national record. Prices will drop with an increase due to an expected surplus.
