T he crops in this area are looking much better this week. T he warmer weather is helping push crop growth.However in areas that were flooded or had saturated soils from slow drainage we are finding restricted root growth and yellow stunted plants. Corn in those wet spots may be subject to greater injury during a dry summer because their roots probably won’t make it deep enough to access available subsoil water later on.Other issues we worry about during a wet spring are Nitrogen fertilizer loss and increased risk of diseases
