Comments:

Chad Husman AFM

Heavy rain over t he weekend caused widespread flooding and erosion damage t o many fields and roads. People around t he area spent Memorial
Day pumping water out of t heir basement s. The Little Sioux, Big Sioux, and Maple rivers are currently flooded. Unfortunately t he forecast is for more rain in t he next 3 days.

There is very lit t le corn left t o plant , but some areas will need t o be replant ed because of flood damage. Soybean planting around t he area is only about half done, which is well behind normal progress. Planting soybeans in June will likely decrease t he yield potential.
