Harvest progress has been slow. Nationally, 17% of the corn and 20% of the soybeans have been harvested.Normally at this time, 30-33% of both crops have been harvested. Locally the numbers are most likely lower due to excess rainfall, although, with a week of clear weather in the forecast, we should make good progress. Early yield results are highly variable as expected, with the poorly drained low areas showing poor yields, while the higher soils are showing good to excellent yields.
