Avery nice weather week, a real relief from the previous weeks hot weather. Crops made good progress. Corn is in the milk
stage and is generally a week to 10 days ahead of normal development. Soybeans are setting pods, and are ahead of normal as well. There have been a few people spraying for aphids on soybeans, and applying fungicide. This is mostly a preventative treatment, as insect numbers remain low.

Grain markets remain uneventful. Crop condition ratings throughout the corn belt remain quite high, and weather
forecast are mostly non-threatening over the next 2 weeks. the markets has taken most of the weather risk premium out, and is
now in a waiting position to see if early yield results will match the lofty crop ratings.
