Mild Temperatures and Rainfall this past week are what is driving a recovery of the crops in the area. Many places received an inch to two inches of precipitation last Wednesday. This allowed the corn to continue pollination and the soybeans to begin pod set with some much needed moisture. Many corn fields are beginning dough stage while soybeans are setting pods in many fields. Although many soybean plants are short and not
as branched as previous years, many plants are putting on just as many pods (pictured below).
