Continued, very warm weather over the last 2 weeks has the crops making up some ground after the late start, and was just what we needed. The cool down coming this week will be beneficial for the corn entering the tasseling stage. Unfortunately for the 1/3+ of the crop that was planted after June 1st in this area, we are still at least 10 days away from the beginning of tasseling. We are generally in good shape for soil moisture at this time.

Grain markets continue to drop back and forth depending on the latest weather forecast and crop condition reports. The next big report is August 12th, when the re-survey of the planted acres is released.
