Another cooler than normal week, before more normal July heat returned over the weekend. Crops are moving ahead well, with most corn either starting to tassel or within a week of tasseling. Soybeans are adding height and blooms. Final herbicide applications are being made to weed escapes in soybeans.

The grain markets have moved higher again on continued uncertainty about how much yield damage has been done by the wet weather to the East and the South. National crop ratings still have the condition score above average, reflecting how good conditions currently are in the Northern and Western corn belt.
