Another wet week has not helped conditions in the area. Still a lot of standing water in the lowest parts of fields and areas that tend to be wet are showing yellowing crop stands from water logged soils. The better drained areas are still showing good yield potential, but a warm dry forecast would benefit all acres.
The grain markets have chopped back and forth depending on weather forecasts. The crop condition report from the USDA showed a slight deterioration from the excess rain in Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Nebraska, but much of the rest of the corn belt is in excellent shape.
