Crops have progressed well over the last week with the warm temperatures. Corn color has improved as roots have grown down towards more nitrogen. Most corn has been sprayed for broad leaf weeds, or will be sprayed in the next week. With the recent warm weather, the weeds are starting to grow too. Rain this past Saturday night was generally .75 to 1.5 inches, but a few areas received over 2 inches. In the areas of the high rainfall totals there are small areas of standing water.

The grain markets are quiet, and waiting for more crop development before making a move. Crop conditions are good in most areas, although the Southwest corn belt is suffering from too much rain. Planting progress as well as conditions there are well below normal.
