Nathan Deters AFM

Planting progressed at a rapid pace this last week, and with a dry week in the forecast, many area farmers will be clocking long hours getting as much ground covered as they can before the impending rain next Monday. Planting is all but done in the east half of the state and there are very few corn acres in our area that remain to be planted.Soybean planting is off to a good start.

Both corn and soybean markets showed strength in the last week, moving to the upper end of the highs over the
past three months.
