Corn has reached full height and pollinating is about 50% completed. Soybeans are beginning to set pods. Fungicide and insecticide applications will likely begin shortly and extend through mid August.

Yield prospects remain very good. Record yields may be reached on some farms. Market prices have responded accordingly and dropped substantially. However, if very high yields are realized, gross income has not been affected too much.
